Lots of exciting results on the Marathon front to share with you this week.

On the12th June, not the best of weather that weekend........ and Windermere showed its true colours wild wet and windy, but it was good to see Chester paddlers showing the way, well done!

The following weekend 18th June - Conway Ascent, quite a crowd from Chester turned out to race it this year, the weather was better than expected and the conditions were fairly calm again Chester were up in the prizes! Well done to Ian for holding onto 1st place!

Plenty more paddlers from Chester did the tour and had a great day too, it was good to see so many juniors taking part! Well done to Phil Till, John Carol and David Hatton, Mark, James and Aled Roberts, Denise Jake and Ruby Oldfield Connor, Graham Isabelle and Amy Hanna.

Paddling on Saturday wasn't enough for the Hattons and Jake (who are all in full training for the Cheshire Ring) they went to the Shropshire Hasler on Sunday!
The star of the day for Chester must be Jake Oldfield Conner who won Div 8 in 29.12 and got promoted to Div 7, an excellent result - all that extra Cheshire ring training that David and Jake are doing is certainly paying off.

Its the biggest field entered in along time with 20 entries made up of -

K1 x 4 entries (including Stuart West winner of 4 day DW 2011)
K1 3 paddler relay x 2 entries
K1 4 paddler relay x 4 entries
K2 x 4 entries
K2 10 paddler relay x 2 entries (a (friendly) battle between Chester and Macclesfield!
K2 6 paddler relay 1 entries
