Hi Everyone,

A big thank-you to all competitors in the Hare 'n Hounds Race on Thursday!

The handicapping system was once again very good with all 11 K1s and 2 K2s finishing very close together.

Steve and Bob in K2 paddled very well, taking first place with Roger and Mark close behind making good use of their wash. Jean came in next, just beating an ever improving young David. Colin in his C1 came in next paddling strongly, followed by Carol, John and Parky just in front of Ray, Ivo and Dave Madley. The juniors Ben and Chris had their first trip to Eccleston- hopefully next time they'll know where the turn is... Well done to them for finishing their first Hare and Hounds!

Thanks to (my) Dave and Kate who set us all off and made it back to the finish to see us all in!

With three races to go, the competition for points is hotting up... Remember six races can count to your points so get the dates in your diary!

We've got a good team going to the Nationals at Worcester next weekend. You can still get your entries in or enter on the day- it'll be a great weekend. Good luck to all the competitors, lets hope the sun shines!
